Case study
From iProjekt
The Case study e-tivity is rather simple to define to students, but may require of them to solve complex problems and manifest critical thinking skills. It can be performed individually or in a group. The object of case study can be a real phenomenon, event, or process in the field of social or natural sciences, medicine, engineering, or other disciplines. A case study can also be conducted in form of problem solving and result in one or more proposed solutions. This e-tivity is based on both cognitivistic and constructivist principles of learning. It stimulates objective observation and holistic analysis. It can be performed in form of collaboration and teamwork for complex tasks and result in peer learning. The list of Web 2.0 tools that can be used for this e-tivity include collaborative writing tools (Google docs, Zoho), wiki, blog, e-portfolio, or online presentations / video tagging tools for reporting on the results of case study |
