SocialGo in teaching English as a second language

SocialGo is community tool like Ning and Elgg, and can be also effectively used for education purpose. It enables engagement of students (sharing ideas and content), collaboration among students and with teacher and peer-to-peer learning.

In the academic year 2009/2010 there were used the SocialGo online community site within the course Business English 2. SocialGo like many social networking sites has forum, blog, comments, chat, personal profiles, events management, uploading of images and video. Within course Business English 2 there were mostly used forum for the week task description, and students used blogs to perform their tasks.
