The e-tivity Individual or team research is predominantly based on contructivist learning. The students are given tasks that require some form of research, observation, data collection, experiment, information search, analysis, etc. They should be provided with at least some guidance or structure for their task/problem. If they work in a group it is opportune to help them identify necessary team roles and perform the division of responsibility among team members. The results of research should be reported or presented to other students (with or without discussion).

The Web 2.0 tools that can be used are Delicious and diigo for creating collections of literature, blogs for recording of results of observation and reports of completed research phases, notes sharing tools (Helipad or Springnote), wiki for collaborative writing, JotForm or Google Docs for online forms/surveys, Google Docs - spreadsheets for data collection/storing and analysis, YouTube or online presentation tools (Masher, SlideSix) for presentation of research results.
